Maybe hubby should have called the delivery hotline instead of calling directly the fastfood chain branch. We were thinking that they may deliver it more faster compared to when we have to call the hotline. But we were wrong coz the crew who answered said they would deliver the food in thirty (30) minutes.
So when thirty five (35) minutes passed by and still no food arrived, I made a follow-up call. Someone answered in the other line and she must not be the person hubby talked to earlier. She could not hear me that I have to almost shout at her. What somehow irked me is how she does not seem to be courteous when she answers customers knowing she is representing the fast food chain. Maybe she was tired and it’s late at night. She did not say please when she asked me to speak up louder. Imagine it was quiet in our place at that hour and I have to talk louder. I wonder if fastfood chains train all the people who allowed to answer phone calls. The one I talked to seem not up to talking to customers who had waited for more time than what they had allotted for delivery time.
Now I found out that the rider who would deliver is still there in their store. It has been more than 35 minutes since we called McDo. I would like to suggest to the crew who answered our follow-up call that they must advise the customers of the possibility that they are short in the delivery guy with only one last night so that we would not expect the food to arrive on the time they tell us. Now why would you tell customers that the food will be delivered in thirty minutes when you can’t really deliver it at that time. Oh well maybe this McDo branch took us as customers for granted. Now they called back and said that the toy we wanted was not available so maybe that was another cause of the delay. At the end we just decided to cancel the order. They could not sum up their act when they are already late in delivering our food. Lesson learned don’t order directly from them and don’t order from them anymore for delivery late at night. It is not worth the wait and the money.
