I was surprised to hear my sister asking about how to go about buying books online. I am mostly into online window shopping and buying online would be great and I can just wish my sister would let me buy books online along with her planned purchases. There are some books that I want for myself which I could not find in the local bookstores and there are also books for our darling little boy that I can’t find but are available online but not in the local stores as I found out last week. My dear sister showed photos of her at work. I saw her standing beside what looks like one of those medical carts which can make helping others  ease workflows and streamline med dispensing as well as convenient access. My sister is a nurse now based overseas and living there with her family for a few years now.

We miss them and seeing these photos of her doing her work makes me realize it is indeed a blessing she has to have this work that sustains her family. It is her dream while it is also our dream for her and my nephew to be home for Christmas holidays but as the past years had been, she is always busy at work during the holiday season. We could just be thankful and keep in touch through the internet during this holiday season.

It is just almost a month away from Christmas. People like in the corporate world are busy like my sister and some of her office mates preparing for Christmas. She has been tasked as part of a committee to canvass for gift baskets to be given away to the company employees who will be honored for their length of service in the company. I wonder how that would feel because I would never experience that since I no longer am in the corporate world.

I know how it feels to get a gift basket because I used to work for a company that gives out such during Christmas season. I remember we would maximize the allotted budget to make the most and to make it really worth it. Aside from the gift basket it would be an added bonus too if we get a cash gift by surprise. Oh how I miss having company Christmas parties. It is always fun to prepare and buy the prizes etc no matter how tiring it can be. Then when you see the happy and excited faces of those who do get the gifts, such a joy to remember! It makes me think hope we can join hubby’s Christmas party again at his office. It’s nice because family members get to join.
