But for our friend now as she is turning 30 herself, I bet she will be pursuing some of her dreams in life this year. She has a list and am sure she will be talking about that when we meet for her birthday. Now we are thinking of chipping in to get her a birthday gift as agreed by her friends. We have gift ideas in mind already. She loves red velvet cupcakes from one bakery here so that will be her birthday cupcakes unless we get her the chocolate mousse cake which is also one of her favorite cakes. Also, she loves to collect mugs so we are getting her one from one of her favorite coffee shop or maybe that mug I saw from a gift store online. These gifts could be something she will appreciate getting as birthday gifts for her 30th birthday. She loves chocolates too and there are many chocolate stuff that we can buy from this online store that I am browsing right now. Oh my those chocolates look so tempting and delicious! I could wish I am turning 30 too and my friends are giving me those chocolates as their birthday gift!

I know how it feels to get a gift basket because I used to work for a company that gives out such during Christmas season. I remember we would maximize the allotted budget to make the most and to make it really worth it. Aside from the gift basket it would be an added bonus too if we get a cash gift by surprise. Oh how I miss having company Christmas parties. It is always fun to prepare and buy the prizes etc no matter how tiring it can be. Then when you see the happy and excited faces of those who do get the gifts, such a joy to remember! It makes me think hope we can join hubby’s Christmas party again at his office. It’s nice because family members get to join.

Trick of Treat 2011

So how was your trick or treat so far? We had two days of trick or treating for the little guy. He enjoyed going around the mall for two days, getting candy goodies. Added happiness when many people adored him in his pirate captain costume.

As with the goodies, I had to screen them after he’s done or when we got home. Good thing he understands instantly when he is told if the candy is okay for him or not.

So many photos! I am happy that we had fun this year. There is one more trick or treat event that I wish we could go to tomorrow but then we need rest. We will make use of the little guy’s one week sem-break from school and hubby’s day off to recharge and for me to get well. It was raining this afternoon when I went for an errand while the boys went on with the trick or treat activities.

Speaking of costume, I have not yet found a costume for the little boy to wear for the trick or treating at the mall. I told myself I should shop early this year. But I did not pursue shopping for it online yet since I am hopping I will be able to find one in the new mall in town. I feel like they will be having some of that in the coming month.

We found out that the daughter of our neighbor who is now in college was stranded earlier somewhere in the diversion road. She was driving her dad’s car when she had an engine trouble. Another neighbor who has a big truck with what looks like a curt trailer hitch came to the rescue.

Thank goodness for good samaritan neighbors that we may still have out there. There is even a transport strike in the country today that made it more difficult for the daughter to come home since there were not much taxis plying there. Good thing someone had volunteered his help to the rescue of the almost distraught daughter all on her own at the side of the diversion road.

It need not be an expensive weekend for us. We do plan to visit the computer exhibit at one of the oldest hotels in town that started yesterday and will end tomorrow. Computer geeks out there, see you at Apo View!

We will attend the anticipated mass later this afternoon because hubby will have work tomorrow. Then there is also that children birthday party tomorrow that the little boy is really excited when he found out about it. Well we wish everybody a great, safe and fun weekend with your loved ones!

I could see some people probably prospects customers having fun. Some people came out still laughing and obviously they really enjoyed what they did. I wonder if I can dare join in those games. For hubby I am sure he’d rather just watch than join in the fun himself.

Actually what I just had in my bag was a silver coin. It was given to me by a friend who is now based abroad. Speaking of coins I began thinking of those graded and certified GSA coins that I was asking my brother the last time we talked. My sister who overheard what we were talking asked what GSA means. Well I had the same question as her actually so I did a little research and from what I found out, it refers to the U.S. General Services Administration that are marked on silver dollar coins that one can buy in bulk and by bag. They are somewhat a collectible item or those that numismatists would like to possess.

If the game host yesterday would have asked for a rare coin, I might could just have won that umbrella after all. *wink*

Well with their Chinese blood they believe in wearing red on special occasions like birthdays and her wedding motiff was red after all. I bet she must be wearing a red honeymoon lingerie after that special night. She said it was kind of a dare from her friends ans she was willing to do the challenge. She can only wish she post a photo of her wearing it but prefer not too of course.

Well she has really matured. I am happy to see her married and wish her the best in her married life and lots of kids to come.
