The fourth day of the so called misa de gallo was extra special because we attended the said mass celebrated at the covered court of my college alma mater. It is basically special because it is my other half’s special day, it’s dear hubby’s birthday! We decided to attend the mass there because as his request and as a treat we had breakfast buffet at Cafe Marco. We just need to cross the street after the mass just in time for the start of their breakfast buffet. We did this last year too. Two years ago, we availed of MPH’s room rate promo with free breakfast buffet for two. Next year we will see because the lil guy will no longer be free of charge. We’ll see then.

We are rather tight on the budget yet we still want to make it extra special today since it is his birthday and it had been rather a tradition for us to celebrate it there with their buffet offering when we have special occasions. Instead of traveling at this weekend which we wished we had but with a tight budget, we know we need to save and so we just had this brekkie buffet treat at the buffet resto in the international deluxe hotel located in the city. The fourth day is special too because it is their company’s Christmas party. There will be a bingo for the employees. Praying he will be one of the winners. It will help us financially with the coming Christmas and New Year’s day celebrations.

Thank you LORD!!!

My dear sister showed photos of her at work. I saw her standing beside what looks like one of those medical carts which can make helping others ease workflows and streamline med dispensing as well as convenient access. My sister is a nurse now based overseas and living there with her family for a few years now.

We miss them and seeing these photos of her doing her work makes me realize it is indeed a blessing she has to have this work that sustains her family. It is her dream while it is also our dream for her and my nephew to be home for Christmas holidays but as the past years had been, she is always busy at work during the holiday season. We could just be thankful and keep in touch through the internet during this holiday season.

Looking through these photos posted of a summer party by my beloved sister who lives with her family so many miles away from us makes me miss them so much! My nephew is growing up so fast, I wonder if he will still recognize me and those memories we have of him while he was still living with us before my sister took him and her husband to live with her abroad. That was more than five years ago already.

Those photos were taken during their great summer together. Summer parties are treasured there since they have winter now fast approaching. My sis said she loves to attend those parties given by friends. At one point she organized one and she asked me for some help for party invites. Thinking about it now maybe I could have suggested these Crab Boil Invitations which are great invites for some party with friends to eat some delicious seafood and have a great time with all your loved ones during summer. Their group of friends mostly love seafood. I would just go hungry looking at those photos they post and share of various seafood and crabs during their parties. Typical food for them during those sought after parties with friends which they say is a must “See Food” event to look forward to.

Slowly recovering I must say for my health and in one financial matter I have been concerned of over the past month or so. I am still worried for the little boy though who still has a lingering cough. I keep praying to the Lord Jesus it’s all gone by now.

The little boy and I have a cough more than a week. We are both on antibiotics already and might need another checkup by this weekend back to the pedia. I hope the pedia (who is out for a week for a meeting or convention maybe due back tomorrow) is in by then and not the substitute lady pedia.

Lord Jesus heal us and lead us all to complete recovery and healing. Amen!

Hubby got a weeklong off from work with his day off days sandwiched his two annual “S” days. It was some kind of a blessing in disguise because it gave us like a mini vacation for me and the boys. We did not have enough budget to have an out of town trip plus the little boy has school. Hubby and I are making the most of it going out, doing errands and just spending time on our own even if it is just malling.

Time off from work and time off from online work for a few days to enjoy life offline. I got some things to do online that needs to be done regarding work and some tasks. The past few days gave us some time to enjoy the ordinary things offline that we missed. We both went to watch the soccer class of the lil boy yesterday. We usually watch when he is off from work too.

We watched Monte Carlo this afternoon while the lil boy was at school. We used the two complimentary passes in the Abreeza Ayala Mall Davao cinema that were given to us during the recent mall food tour. Thank you so much Abreeza Cinema! We enjoyed the movie! For the first time we watched a movie there that was free seating arrangement. We usually have the guaranteed seat movies that means you cannot extend to the next showing of the movie. We wished to stay longer but we had to go and fetch the lil boy from school in an hour after the movie.

The weeklong off will end soon and we will be back to our daily routine. But with the Kadayawan Festival just two weeks away, we wish we could have another weeklong off from work for hubby. But I guess that would just be wishful thinking because there is work and work to do.

It has been a long weekend for the little boy and it is back to school once again tomorrow. He did not ask why he did not go to school for I told him yesterday that it is a special holiday today that is why he is not going to school and because there were no classes. with the teachers on a holiday.

When he did find out though this morning that he will not be going to school, he begged instead to go to his only Lolo’s house. He actually meant my sister’s house where we went during the weekend. He loves to spend time with his cousins and play with them. They mostly spent time playing at my sister’s iMac. I gave her a hint if we could buy it second hand. Still it is expensive for us. so it remains wishful thinking. We will just go over her house during some weekends and let the boy play with his other cousins. If only our place is near my sister’s and my parents’ house, it will surely be fun weekends for the little boy.

I was just cuddling the little boy who is actually not that little anymore. The past few days that he would sit on my lap or ask to be hugged and kissed, I would cherish each chance and moment. It makes me think how he loves me and that possibility that maybe one day when he grows older that he will be embarassed or might no longer enjoy being cuddled, hugged tight or kissed by his mom.

Some mommies even say that this is like some kind of borrowed time that we moms should make the most of to show our kids our love and affection as much as we can while thye are still young because time will come that they might not like it as much as they do when they are still young. I pray the little boy will continue to bring us so many smiles, laughter, giggles, kisses and hugs each day even if he seems to be growing up faster than we could imagine.

In life we have to earn to talk and communicate to make a relationship work out. That is something someone around me must learn. This is not the computer world. There are humans around you and humans communicate. Not having the best ability to talk does not give you the right to be physical. You must value life and ending it is not the solution. You just have to learn to communicate because you are human after all. That is life and just like I said, people have to learn to deal with different weird personalities as we go along life.

No it’s not me. Though all I can say is “so please help me God!”
