There is no class today since it’s a local holiday here in the city. The little boy got a treat when we allowed him more movie time today before we head out to the mall for some events and shows plus a mini reunion with old college friends tonight.

I wish we had our 32″ LCD with us now which I have put on safekeeping for the meantime. We have a bluray movie playing now but it would have been different if we played it on the LCD TV. I say when it comes to home entertainment, bluray rocks! Those Bluray players are really great for watching movies at home especially when you have big widescreen LCD or LED TVs for high quality entertainment right at the comfort of you won home. It gives you means to enjoy watching movies beyond breath-taking image quality.

The little boy does not mind though as long as he has his fave movies to watch on our old TV for his longer hours of movie time with no school day today.

He won’t tell the title of the animated movie and I ended up guessing till dear hubby came home from work later tonight. I had played the Over the Hedge movie yet I remained clueless.

Hubby was able to guess it right and what the little guy wanted to watch was the Leap Frog where there are pigs in one of the chapter of the whole series. Okay my mind has been preoccupied with pending work that I still need to finish that I never thought of Leap frog at all. LOL!

Having just seen the Harry Potter movie part one of the last of this great movie series, I was looking at British actress Emma Watson who plays the character Hermione Jean Granger. She looks so thin in her recent photos with her new and very short hair cut. In the movie I also noticed she was really thin. Just as I was also reading about these hydroxycut max reviews on losing weight, maybe there is more motivation as of now to do more effort in losing more weight. I want to be as thin as Emma a.k.a. Hermione. I like one of the clothes she wore in the movie but I know I have to be a lot thinner before I dare wear it!

And so every time there is a simple family gathering at my sister’s house most of the time, the question that pops up in my mind is what to bring? I am referring to the food that we will bring that is. There are lots of good food to bring but we just have to try to budget it. We often bring food as a way of sharing our blessings to my side of the family who has always stood by us and has never abandoned me, hubby and our lil boy through our trials, difficulties and happiness. It is our way somehow of saying thank you to them. We feel blessed and so we share our blessings to my family. My second sister and I mainly sponsored the celebration of our brother’s advance birthday celebration. My SIL prepared macaroni salad and my mom brought lumpia shanghai. Hubby and I brought the birthday cake, a black forest cake from Bistro Rosario (I really love the white icing!) plus food from Mongolian Garden and chichabits from Gerry’s Grill.

What is more important for us is that most of us are present, though of course my sis and her family abroad cannot physically join us in our celebration and gathering, we know they miss us as much as we miss them. So what is more important to bring to our family gathering is our presence more than the food. The kids ~ first cousins ~ love to see each other during these family gatherings and the lil boy most especially is really happy and excited to seeing them each time.

These kids though get so techie and their bonding often ends up at my sister’s iMac and earlier at my old laptop which I left with my sister. They played PC games together and/or watch movies at the iMac. This time they watched Despicable Me and Karate Kid. I didn’t quite enjoy the first movie or it may be because I didn’t watch it all throughout. I like this family day because it was relaxing. There was a surprise ending though that caused a little commotion especially with the kids. While we were waiting for our ride home, my mom saw a small snake outside in front of the house. My dad was able to get rid of the snake. I hope there would be no more visitors like that but my sis’s neighborhood still has snakes seen around according to my dad. Well there are still some areas that are uninhabited where snakes can live and hide. I just hope they won’t show up near people and hurt anyone. Oh well we ended our family gathering when mom decided it’s time to go home and my sister still has work tomorrow unfortunately for her. So we all called it a night! We look forward to another family gathering soon!

The lil boy got hooked into watching Cars Toon videos in Youtube using his daddy’s new computer set. He likes using it and has been using it so often that the father could only use it when the lil boy is in school or when he is asleep. It has been all Cars that he has been watching and in different languages too. There is one character named Luigi, a big Ferrari fan who owns a tire shop called Casa Della Tires and sells Ferrari parts. I didn’t remember his name until I heard the lil boy utter it while watching video from Cars.

I always remember Luigi with his famous line “Luigi follow only the Ferraris” in the movie Cars. And if you would recall too towards the end of that animated movie, Luigi got real Ferrari cars visiting his tire shop and the Ferrari was voiced by Michael Schumacher!

The lil boy is still at school now and will be back home in less than a couple of hours. I am sure he will be back to his dad’s PC and will be watching Cars Toon again! At least they are not violent videos unlike some of which I find in this video sharing site sometimes.

At first I didn’t know Mopar which is actually short for Motor Parts, the automobile parts and service arm of Chrysler Group LLC. At least I am able to learn something as I do a little help for friends. From what I know it is her uncle who actually needs help looking for some motor parts and accessories. I remember I have met her uncle years ago and I know he really does love cars and somehow like an expert in auto mechanic. I wonder if CT would love cars as in real cars too whe grows up.

A few days ago I called my parent’s home and my nephew answered. I could hear in the background that they were watching a movie. He said it’s the movie Fool’s Gold and then before I could even ask to talk to their grandma, my five year old nephew took the phone and chatted with me about the movie and how he wanted to be a treasure hunter! I did not know he became so talkative since we left home. He was talking about sailing ships, gold and hunting for treasures! I don’t think these days we need to hunt for gold by sailing unknown seas. We can always invest in gold if we are serious about it just like the lucky, wealthy and wise investors who make this unique investment in gold and other precious metal investments that one can buy in the market. It is an outstanding investment opportunity aside from its ability to protect wealth and preserve one’s purchasing power. Well no need to really be a treaure hunter and hunt for those buried treasures. The treasure lies in our ability to work hard, save and make the right investments in life. Those are the things I try to tell my nephews even at a very young age. Hope our lil boy will learn that in time too. Now I would like to ask hubby to look for that movie. It somehow made me curious after all.

Have you seen the movie which I just cannot remember the title as of this writing where there was a guy who wished he can do things with just pushing the button in a universal remote control. The ending of that movie was so touching for me and for the few times I was able to play that movie again, I still cannot help but cry. Anyway, why i mentioned push button is that there are certain times here at home when I can just do all things – house chores and other things that has to be done by just pushing a button then viola they are all done. But things are just like that. So if I don’t get a RC to just push the button then maybe a clone perhaps? LOL! Maybe I am just either tired or lazy to do things. Well after so many months I need a break too you know but this is how life is at times.

He was watching Monsters Inc. and then Chicken Little now for the second time since night coz it is already morning now. He won’t sleep yet while hubby is trying to sleep since he will be off to a morning duty in a few hours. The lil boy somehow wakes his dad a little earlier. Good thing he is now sleepy.
