But for our friend now as she is turning 30 herself, I bet she will be pursuing some of her dreams in life this year. She has a list and am sure she will be talking about that when we meet for her birthday. Now we are thinking of chipping in to get her a birthday gift as agreed by her friends. We have gift ideas in mind already. She loves red velvet cupcakes from one bakery here so that will be her birthday cupcakes unless we get her the chocolate mousse cake which is also one of her favorite cakes. Also, she loves to collect mugs so we are getting her one from one of her favorite coffee shop or maybe that mug I saw from a gift store online. These gifts could be something she will appreciate getting as birthday gifts for her 30th birthday. She loves chocolates too and there are many chocolate stuff that we can buy from this online store that I am browsing right now. Oh my those chocolates look so tempting and delicious! I could wish I am turning 30 too and my friends are giving me those chocolates as their birthday gift!

These are the Disney Mickey Mouse Donuts | GoNuts Donuts Abreeza that the kids and classmates of our dear little boy loved among the donuts we brought for the advance celebration of the little boy’s birthday at school. There were also Pooh donuts plus three other varieties of chocolate flavored donuts that we brought too.

This was a hit among the kids. Well kids are really fascinated with the Mickey design of this donut. Just glad I also bought these instead of having all those other chocolate donuts.

The little boy wants more of this he said when he saw me writing this post. LOL! Okay we will try to buy him one more tomorrow if we do get to go back to GND.

It was a nice surprise meeting with old friends and we chatted till SB was almost about to close. The hubby of our schoolmate will be going on mountain climbing today as I remember our meet that night. He had been looking for a mountain hardwear in the sporting goods stores in the mall before they went to that coffee shop. It was interesting to know about his climb and had we have been prepared, I would wish hubby and I can come along (wishful thinking) and fulfill our dream of climbing Mount Apo. Our chat went on endlessly but time flies indeed when you are having fun talking with your old friends. I wish we have more time to catch up with each other’s lives. It was like a Christmas gift for me to have this surprise meeting with old friends. I hope we will see each other again soon.

It is nice too that my sis is looking for books online since by coincidence I found these barnes & noble coupons as suggested by a dear friend of mine who is also a book lover and she also recently bought books  online as her Christmas gift for herself. Books will be one of the Christmas gifts that I wanted to buy for our lil boy. There are many books that I want for him which is out of stock in the two bookstores I went to last week. Maybe my dear sister would be willing to buy those books online for her niece. I’ll keep my fingers crossed on this one!

We are rather tight on the budget yet we still want to make it extra special today since it is his birthday and it had been rather a tradition for us to celebrate it there with their buffet offering when we have special occasions. Instead of traveling at this weekend which we wished we had but with a tight budget, we know we need to save and so we just had this brekkie buffet treat at the buffet resto in the international deluxe hotel located in the city. The fourth day is special too because it is their company’s Christmas party. There will be a bingo for the employees. Praying he will be one of the winners. It will help us financially with the coming Christmas and New Year’s day celebrations.

Trick of Treat 2011

So how was your trick or treat so far? We had two days of trick or treating for the little guy. He enjoyed going around the mall for two days, getting candy goodies. Added happiness when many people adored him in his pirate captain costume.

As with the goodies, I had to screen them after he’s done or when we got home. Good thing he understands instantly when he is told if the candy is okay for him or not.

So many photos! I am happy that we had fun this year. There is one more trick or treat event that I wish we could go to tomorrow but then we need rest. We will make use of the little guy’s one week sem-break from school and hubby’s day off to recharge and for me to get well. It was raining this afternoon when I went for an errand while the boys went on with the trick or treat activities.

Our friends were even thinking we may get her something related to photography since she and her husband-to-be met a few years ago through their passion for photography. These photo frames would be great with prints of their choice of their fave photos in it. I even thought I would love to have one of these at home with our fave printed family photos in it. I have a bare wall to put and hang the frame now.

Those photos were taken during their great summer together. Summer parties are treasured there since they have winter now fast approaching. My sis said she loves to attend those parties given by friends. At one point she organized one and she asked me for some help for party invites. Thinking about it now maybe I could have suggested these Crab Boil Invitations which are great invites for some party with friends to eat some delicious seafood and have a great time with all your loved ones during summer. Their group of friends mostly love seafood. I would just go hungry looking at those photos they post and share of various seafood and crabs during their parties. Typical food for them during those sought after parties with friends which they say is a must “See Food” event to look forward to.

You may have heard of British Heiress Petra Eccelstone’s wedding recently to businessman James Stunt where the Black Eyed Peas sang during the reception. As well as that of Kim Kardashian’s wedding to basketball star Kris Humphries just last Month in the Montecito Mansion in California. Both brides wore beautiful Vera Wang wedding dresses. These kind of weddings can be so lavish. While other celebrities prefer for a more private and intimate wedding. I am sure there will be other celebrity wedding trends to look forward to in the future.

We gave hubby this leche flan roll from Red Ribbon for Father’s Day 2011. It is a simple cake roll we gave hubby. He knows we are on a tight budget. He appreciated the thought and the boys loved having their souvenir photos taken together carrying this one for Father’s Day.

We love eating this when served chilled. Though I think their brazo could have tasted better.

Sorry for the lettering dad for we know it’s a common comment with Red Ribbon unless they hire or train someone to do the job right for customer satisfaction! Anyway the guy from Red Ribbon said sorry for what he did and we cannot do anything for we were also in a hurry.
