A friend just recently bought a printer and I wonder if its the same model as the hp officejet 6500 all in one inkjet printer that is said to let you save up to 40 percent per color page over lasers. Sometimes I am tempted to get one if only we have extra budget for one right now. Its paper handling support are card stock, envelopes, glossy/photo paper, labels, standard cut sheet paper, transparencies.

I have a friend who showed me her printed artwork and I got the idea that the little guy and I could do something like it. Its just that it can be costly in the sense that we need to buy the other supplies. The little guy in the house would love to see his works in photos and I could use this on other printing projects too that I have had in mind for quite sometime with the use of this all in one printer.

Good news from another friend whom I have not seen for a long time. She is engaged to be married sometime next year. If she had told us her friends earlier, we could thought that we would send an engagement gift to her. She just told us we can still send it to her anytime and indeed that made us think we should give something that is more of a personalized and practical gift as well.

Our friends were even thinking we may get her something related to photography since she and her husband-to-be met a few years ago through their passion for photography. These photo frames would be great with prints of their choice of their fave photos in it. I even thought I would love to have one of these at home with our fave printed family photos in it. I have a bare wall to put and hang the frame now.

The 9/11/11 moon.

While the world remember 9/11 and we continue to pray for the victims and their families, the boys and I were outside the house during that evening with hubby taking photos of the moon. Time flies as we think it has already been 10 years since that around this time around, my dad and I were watching the breaking news seeing the first plane had crashed on the first tower and that second plane crash to the second tower right before you as you stayed glued to the TV, shocked and trying to comprehend what’s happening then.

Life goes on for the rest of us. Going back to this night recently, the little boy enjoyed being out and playing with me while we wait for hubby to finish taking his photos. It was quite in our street. I thought it would be good to have a little jog with the little master to sweat it out a little as we look at the moon from afar.

I have been using less of the Lexy which I have allowed to rest while hubby has been carrying around mostly the D7000 his latest toy. Hope this firmware upgrade on Lexy will make me use it more once again.

Though I still bring Lexy with me often since it is still far more convenient to carry wherever and not as intimidating or attention catching as the D7K. Hubby’s new toy capable of taking nice videos has been very useful during the little boy’s soccer class. We can take still better photos and videos at the same time. Maybe in time I will still get back to the convenience of being easy to carry with regards to using Lexy.

I have a pending task of uploading our photos. I forgot to do some of it today. It is alte at night in my part of the world and am tired. I want to do more stuff around the house before calling it a night but there are far more important things to do right now. I sometimes wish I have a clone/personal secretary who can do the things that I cannot do but want to be done. Okay maybe I just squeeze in some time now to upload photos before I sleep. Ciao for now!

Isn’t this a beautiful and breathtaking view? I wonder where could this be. I hope to find something like this nearby and it would be fun to be crossing the islands on foot.

I wonder though if I could walk all the way to the other island through this. I assume it is just but shallow water but am no swimmer. If the tide goes high will it ever cover the bridge? But I cannot help but love the view of this! I wouldn’t mind getting sunburned all over again walking and running with the boys here to and from the other island.

Hubby and I earlier went on battery hunting. Our new toy Lexy is new here in the city so we are still looking for a supplier of a battery for the LX5. We went to Nikon Shop where we got Lexy but they don’t have a supply of extra battery yet. We also went to Funtronics also in Gaisano Mall but they also don’t have it yet. We have to wait a little longer.

We need an extra battery coz I noticed the battery easily drains after being fully charged in a day we need it to charge again. I am not sure if we are just taking too many pictures or what. Could there be something wrong with the battery that came along with the LX5? I dunno. Maybe not and we are just shutter happy. But I need to find an extra battery hopefully just within the city so we don’t have to worry in case we go out and the first battery drains.

It is time to have fun with the Thursday Challenge once again and I feel like joining this week with the somehow black and white theme. So here is a black and white photo version of one of my most fave photos I have ever taken so far. It is a photo taken at the Turtle Sanctuary here in the city and it is a private and protected place. Had a chance to go to this place for a sunrise shoot. Then this is the famous lone tree in that place. I would love to go back to this place for another sunrise shoot. It was a cloudy sunrise shoot at this time. So hopefully when we get the chance to go back there, it will be a truly wonderful sunrise that we will see.
