We got the SkyCable DigiBox just last Saturday afternoon after the cable connection was gone for about a month already. We do not watch TV that much anymore for many months already as encouraged by the little boy’s school to eliminate, if not lessen and regulate the kid’s TV time. Now that it is the Christmas holiday break from school and just in time that the owner offered us an option on this digibox, we grabbed the chance since there are times that there are events and shows that we want to watch. Not that often though but only on certain occasions.

We still regulated the kid’s TV by locking the channels we don’t like him to watch including Nickolodeon and Disney. We let him watch the Disney Junior because we fell the shows there are better. However yesterday, while I was looking for this car hire malaga, the channels got scrambled and SkyCable might have been affected by the typhoon Sendong. Now we lost most of nice channels including the little boy’s Disney Channel. Good thing Lifestyle Network is still there and that’s the one we watched earlier. For now we hope SkyCable will be able to fix the problem soon or else this digibox won’t be that fully maximized in terms of use during the Christmas break.

On this Sunday on a long weekend for most in the country, I turned on the TV and Matanglawin was being shown. I called the little boy who just woke up and he was instantly excited to see the show.

Matanglawin is a weekly science-environmental show hosted by Kim Atienza. It is aired on ABS-CBN every Sundays at 9:30 AM, with replays on Sundays at 7:00 AM on ABS-CBN News Channel. (image from Google images)

I think this is good for kids especially for the little boy since at one time his teacher told me, he needs to know what a chameleon looks like and other animal creatures that he is still not familiar with. It is educational to kids and even kids at heart too! Even adults still need to continue learning and there are still a lot of thing we can learn from shows like Matanglawin.

I think I have a Gleeky hubby here. He is watching the latest episode now entitled Prom Queen while I just cannot give it my full attention to watch since I am jsut busy finishing some important tasks. Plus the tummy is still at war, too many distractions. However after awhile and since hubby left for awhile, I found myself feeling like dancing to the music. At one point, I took a break from work and took a seat in front of the TV and watched until the gleeky hubby came back.

Speaking of The Drs and while my mind is set on looking for the best acne face wash that will truly make acne as a thing of the past, I remembered that they featured one time about simple DIY face wash and mask.

The very simple one they showed and which I could not forget was when they showed an egg white face wash/mask wherein you would just beat egg whites in a bowl for a few minutes then brush or apply it to your face. Let it stay there for fifteen minutes while you lie down and relax.

Their guest host that time was a woman from Inside Edition who was asked what makes her look beautiful and her skin smooth and acne free. Then she goes off to make that egg white for a mask that she applied to one of the doctor-host on the show. It’s worth a try and as they say it is indeed very practical for a DIY home face mask.

We missed watching his show called The Drs or the Doctors. It is a favorite noon time show if we may call it since it airs at noon on cable. Both hubby and I watch this show because we learn a lot from it and they discuss so many informative health issues from heart disease from its cure to the latest tests using advanced technology to even such quite sensitive topics as the use of natural male enhancement for men. That topic somehow reminded hubby of the latest movie we saw, Love and Other Drugs where there was one drug that he kept mentioning about even a few days after.

Anyway, for those concerned about their health and want to know different things and updates in the world of medicine, watch The Drs every day from Monday to Friday. You’ll learn a lot of things and you get reminded each day that you health is one of the best wealth you could ever possess.

Kurt is actually one of the reasons that I look forward to watching Glee this second season aside of course from our very own Charice who plays the guest role of Sunshine Corazon in Glee Season 2. Glee will be back on January 25! Can’t wait!

I wanted to watch TV now but I still have a few chores to finish before finally calling it a night. I have not watched TV so often for years now. But after seeing those plasma tvs at the appliance store in the mall a few days ago makes me wish I have all the time in the world to watch TV and just do that whole day. There are a few brands of TV to choose from when it comes to plasma such as LG, Samsung, and Panasonic. These TVs can allow you to browse the web on your TV.

I have tried watching YouTube on our 32″ TV before. It’s kind of overwhelming at first when you’re used to a small monitor screen but you’ll get used to it. Technology these days have made so many things done possibly through your TV connecting it to the internet. For now though, I just want to watch a few minutes of TV before finally calling it a night!

My two sisters who lives on their own have no TV at their home. They just rely on my elder sisters mobile phone television. She said she will put on hold any plans to purchase a real TV as of now until her house has been finished. She is at work whole day and she is content with her iMac and her mobile phone TV when she wants to watch certain local TV programs that she cannot watch through the internet or other means.

When we go to her house, we usually bring our own TV if not watch movies in her iMac. But for those who want a mobile phone TV this is a good technology solutions if you want to watch TV at any place at your own convenience and any time you want. My sis can even watch TV while lying in bed in her own bedroom or when my other sister wants to eat while watching TV, she brings along the mobile phone TV. Just great how technology has evolved to suit our own respective convenience.

But I found myself turning on the TV and I suddenly found myself tuned in to the Lifestyle network where they are showing the Stand Up 2 Cancer (SU2C) telethon. I saw stars like Renee Zellweger, Reese Witherspoon, Mandy Moore, CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Denzel Washington, Gwyneth Paltrow, and a lot more celebrities. US President Barack Obama also gave a recorded message for people to stand up to cancer and join the fight against cancer.

The guest Oprah has today is Harry Connick Jr., the singer who loves Frank Sinatra songs. I remember him way back to the American Idol Season 9 Sinatra week. Well okay got to hop on to another show now since Oprah has just ended. Oh well it seems I tuned in quite too late! *wink*
