Unlimited Rice

Last night, we dined at the Hukad restaurant in the mall that originates from Cebu which serves unlimited rice. We have dined here many times before and we’re rather suki already because of their good food and they are rather more affordable compared to the other restos. There you can see at this photo is the rice I had which is about two servings or around two cups of rice. That’s my limit, the max that I allow myself when we are dining there. I had a cup of rice earlier during the day and this maybe just too much considering it’s dinner.

There are times I would rather opt out dining at this resto and would be thinking twice when hubby asks me if I like to dine there simply because I just do not want to be tempted to maximize their unlimited rice offer. Yet food is good and sometimes you just get into the mood like other people to just go for their unli rice.

While others are having no rice diet after the holidays, I just limit my meals just like what I have been doing for more than a year already. So I think indulging in this offer would be okay as long as it is not everyday!

Surprise Meeting with Old Friends

The night before Christmas eve, the boys and I were at SB for some bonding time when I saw by surprise two mommy-friends, one a former classmate and the other our schoolmate in college with their husbands with them. The first couple who saw me came home from Nigeria for their family Christmas vacation. The second couple, the wife was my former classmate in first year college who now works and lives in Singapore and they are here for a family Christmas vacation as well. We were actually about to go home with my boys when we saw them but extended our stay since this is one rare occasion to meet old friends I know.

It was a nice surprise meeting with old friends and we chatted till SB was almost about to close. The hubby of our schoolmate will be going on mountain climbing today as I remember our meet that night. He had been looking for a mountain hardwear in the sporting goods stores in the mall before they went to that coffee shop. (more…)

SkyCable DigiBox

We got the SkyCable DigiBox just last Saturday afternoon after the cable connection was gone for about a month already. We do not watch TV that much anymore for many months already as encouraged by the little boy’s school to eliminate, if not lessen and regulate the kid’s TV time. Now that it is the Christmas holiday break from school and just in time that the owner offered us an option on this digibox, we grabbed the chance since there are times that there are events and shows that we want to watch. Not that often though but only on certain occasions.
